Decorative Crafts is a third-generation family owned and operated, wholesale business that has been importing home furnishings for over 80 years. Our business was founded in 1928 when Milton Cohn began importing leather boxes, ceramics, and Florentine wood from Italy. Milton’s grandson Jeff manages the business today. In addition to our handcrafted furniture and lighting from Italy, we import home furnishings from the Far East. Most recently, we have added furniture from France to our collection. Creating long-term relationships with our artisans and suppliers enables us to provide high quality merchandise at fair prices. (Visit our ‘Artisan Tour’ and the “Moissonnier Tour” on the left hand menu.)
Decorative Crafts’ Collections include Furniture from Italy and the Orient, and Lighting and Accessories New to Decorative Crafts is our collection of furniture made in France by Moissonnier. Moissonnier has created exquisite hand-carved and hand-finished furniture for luxury hotels and residences since 1885. Their unique style combines historical French designs from the 18th and 19th centuries with modern colorful finishes. Moissonnier has mastered the art of mixing the traditional with the contemporary to create beautiful unique pieces.
Furniture from the Far East includes hand-painted furniture, screens, and wall panels. Our silver finished cabinets are particularly popular with designers and shelter magazine editors.
We have expanded our lighting collection to include Venetian glass lamps made in Murano, Italy by master Italian glassmakers. Our own lighting designs include lamps made from brass, crystal, alabaster, porcelain, and colored glass. Our Lighting Collection designers have won two Pinnacle awards from the American Society of Furniture Designers for their designs for Decorative Crafts.
